Howdy, Folks!
I’m in Brentwood this week – just east of the San Francisco bay area in California.  I had to stop on the way up to take a few pix of the fruit trees, which are nearly all in full bloom right now…

I really like flowers, so when I get the chance to take photos like these… you bet I’m going to stop!  The weather has been nice, cool and a bit rainy – but nothing to complain about since it is after all the rain that makes everything so nice!  The wind kicked up a bit and the flower petals began to blow in the air… it’s really neat to see the petals blowing on the wind.  I’m not sure it’s good for the tree, but it’s nice to watch!

I’m visiting 5 schools this week.  They are really doing a great job writing poems and doing drawings for the Mr. Mike Poetry Challenge!  Some of the classes did poems about feelings.  Others did poems about what they would do if they were in charge of the world.  Some of the poems were written in shapes, like hearts and a soccer ball!  There were lots of neat and original ideas!  I took lots of photos… here’s a few…

Pretty cool, huh?  The whole room was covered with class posters!  I was impressed!
